The last time i posted was when we got more than 400 posts . ^^ well, life’s busy right now, but the most horrible exam *coughs Maths coughs* is already over so i can at least relax a few days .. That’s why I also have time to do a Multi-Review of a Japanese drama . So I’m warning you . If you click to read more, there’s a possibility of 99,99% that i’ll put spoilers in it. so watch out ^^

Code Blue – Season 1

Plot:

If it can be treated one second earlier, the heart might start beating again.
If there is one extra helicopter, another life in danger may be saved.
If one more life can be saved, the Japanese medical community may regain trust.
There are more lives in this country that can be saved.

The “Doctor Helicopter” system was legalized in Japan in June 2007. A medical team is dispatched to the patients on a helicopter to provide medical care in the field as soon as possible. One day, four young physicians are assigned to this latest medical system. The doctors experience traumatic medical situations, deal with personal ambitions, witness the fragility of life, and they grow personally and professionally. —Fuji TV

Then Tachibana Keisuke, a veteran flight doctor, takes up a new post. He has been put in charge of certifying the fellowship programme which will decide their future. -Jdrama Weblog

My opinion ?

So I’ll start with the characters should I ? Yeah well those 4 main people are Aizawa, Shiraishi, Fujikawa and Hiyama. Aizawa is a young and skilled doctor, who seemed like a stone to me in the beginning. Kinda like those Shoujo-manga guys who is pretty silent & doesn’t smile or talk much. But as the first season moves forward, he starts to grow personality. The most dramatic moment is actually when his grandma gets into hospital, there he starts being emotional for the first time. Shiraishi Megumi is also a young doctor, which personality is very bright. She is a very cheerful and gentle girl, but that also makes problems. She really can’t say what’s on her mind, she is such a little miss sunshine outside, but inside, she actually feels like screaming at someone or smth like that . But she also starts to change as the series developes. Fujikawa is also one of the 4 doctors. He seems to be the “worst” of the four and that really annoys him because he wants to be a flight doctor for sure. Even when Kuroda tells him to quit, he doesn’t give up. Even though Fujikawa may be annoying, he has a big heart . ! And the last character is Hiyama. I really hated her so much at first, she is skillful, but so arrogant. She gets herself into trouble for so many times but she always somehow can handle it .

So ….. ?

Okay it was two seasons long plus one special episode. Of course, there is one BIG minus point (in my opinion) :

A TOTAL LACK OF ROMANCE…

Of course, you will  slight  hints that there is something between some characters. but there aren’t really any romantic moments.. this drama focuses more on the story.. But even though there is such a big lack of romance .. I still think this drama was AMAZING !!! Especially because it was a drama with two seasons you really started liking the characters how they were and you also learn from this, that it’s not always that easy for doctors… It has very sad and touching moments but there is also one funny moment .. XDD The moment when all 4 characters were at the bar and they were drunk.. omfg yamapi drunk -> PRICELESS XD

[By the way.. many people said that Yamapi looks horrible with wavy messy hair… I’m sorry but WTF ? XD He looks so damn amazing with wavy hair and i think he looks better in the first season than in the second one >.< ]

I mean .. JUST LOOK XD

So yeah. what should i say ? I think this drama is awesome and for the ones who love medical dramas : Watch it .. but for the girly-shojo-romance fans.. Better leave it because you will be disappointed in the end.. Though even i liked it without romance !
